Overview
The Recliner to 5K (R25K) program is a nationally recognized, evidence-based fitness initiative designed to help individuals transition from sedentary lifestyles to completing a 5K through structured run/walk intervals over approximately eight weeks.
Led by ThriveShift, the program activates trusted community partners—healthcare organizations, churches, schools, and employers- to support participants in consistent movement practices that promote long-term health outcomes.
Health Impact & Community Reach
R25K is intentionally designed for individuals of all fitness levels, with a focus on populations disproportionately impacted by chronic disease and limited access to wellness resources. By emphasizing gradual progression and peer support, the program fosters confidence, enhances physical endurance, and promotes sustainable lifestyle changes.
